New Year....New Books!

Happy New Year Everyone! Welcome back after a long snow filled vacation! If you are looking for something to read to cheer up cold days and dark nights we have some ideas for you. Check out some of our new titles...or ask a friend what they have read lately that they enjoyed.

The Fault in Our Stars
by John Green
Love, illness, romance, intrigue, laughs, tears...this book has it all. It is also being made into a movie that will be coming out this winter. Read it now, watch the movie later!

Drama
       by Raina Telgemeier

Callie loves theater. And while she would totally try out for her middle school's production of Moon Over Mississippi, she's a terrible singer. Instead she's the set designer for the stage crew, and this year she's determined to create a set worthy of Broadway on a middle-school budget. But how can she, when she doesn't know much about carpentry, ticket sales are down, and the crew members are having trouble working together? Not to mention the onstage AND offstage drama that occurs once the actors are chosen, and when two cute brothers enter the picture, things get even crazier!

Beyond Courage: The Untold Story of Jewish Resistance During the Holocaust
by Doreen Rappaport
In a stirring chronicle, Doreen Rappaport brings to light the courage of countless Jews who organized to sabotage the Nazis and help other Jews during the Holocaust. If you are looking for an exciting true life story this is it. Filled with courageous, exciting stories of people who risk their lives for others this book will be hard to put down.
